September 2009 King's Castle Missions Trip to the Impenetrable
Home
At the beginning of September, there was a misisons trip specifically for the leaders in King's Castle. A group of about 15 leaders traveled to the Northern province of Chaco, to a place called the Impenetrable to work with the Wichi people.

Waiting in line for a hot lunch in Sauzal.

Rachel, helping cook for the village.

Some of the leaders dressed as clowns in Wichi el Pintado.
On the second day of the trip, five Castilleros were traveling from a neighboring province to meet up with the team. On their way, they were in a car accident, which involved the car rolling at least five times. Two of the passengers, Rodrigo (24) and Brian (12), were killed almost instantly when thrown from the car. The driver of the car, Pamela, was rushed to a hospital were she is still recovering. Brian was Pamela's son, so we are praying for grace for her as she deals with the loss of her son. The other two passengers walked away from the accident.
When news was received of the accident, the team was in the town of Sauzal. Sauzal has the highest suicide rate of young people in the entire province. We believe that when those two young men lost their lives en route to preaching the gospel to the people of Sauzal, something was broken over that town. We're expecting great things to come from the village of Sauzal.
